Funding dates and guidelines are now available on the Staff Portal.
Applications for 6 and 3 month grants are due on 15 March, with the pitch session taking place on 5 April. Please carefully read through the application processes, note commitments and key dates.
Preference will be given to ideas that take a strategic approach to solving Learning and Teaching challenges at Macquarie. Applications must support activity in one (or more) key priority area(s):
- Digital, technology and spaces
- Student engagement
- Student employability and collaboration with industry
- Academic integrity and innovative assessment
- Program based approaches to curriculum and assessment
Key details about this round of funding:
- Applications due by 15 March will be for 6 or 3 month projects (June – December 2018)
- Staff interested in applying will first need to consult with their Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) and/or business or Unit Director and obtain their endorsement
- Endorsed project ideas must be submitted online by 15 March
- Applicants will then pitch their ideas (3 mins max) to a Learning and Teaching panel on 5 April
- Panel supported applications will then be asked to submit a full application, including an itemised budget and timelines for full delivery by 31 December 2018
- The Panel will review full applications and make recommendations for project funding
- Successful projects will have additional reporting and dissemination activity requirements in 2018, and these will be linked to funding being released incrementally
There will be another funding round in August 2018 accepting 3 month projects (September – December 2018), and in November for 2019 projects. The Office of the PVC L&T can be contacted for more information.
